What is GameCamp!?
GameCamp! is a safe, fun, and educational summer camp for students aged 10-17. GameCamp! is designed to offer students a chance to meet a variety of game developers while developing skills used in the game industry.
Is GameCamp! just playing games?
GameCamp! is a career preparatory summer camp for students interested in the computer game development industry. GameCamp! brings together video game and education professionals, along with independent game developers and college mentors to assist students in planning their career goals in the video game and digital media industries.
We designed GameCamp! to be fun and to help motivate students to understand that all successful careers take hard work and planning. Qualities like critical thinking, sportsmanship, self-discipline, and cooperation are all necessary for a positive game experience and GameCamp! is committed to promoting these qualities.

Who's teaching at GameCamp?
Industry veterans, game development students, and college faculty teach at GameCamp! Who better to learn from then the people that actual make and study games. More information can be found in our speaker's list and staff pages.
What if I want to be in the game industry?
Well, that's cool and we can help. The GameCamp! staff are from the game development industry and are available to help you learn more about a career in the game industry. Guest lecturers and developers will focus on a variety of topics and counselors will be available to assist you with questions about the skills you need to get into the industry. Whether you want to be a game designer, programmer, artist, or entrepreneur, GameCamp! will provide you with a road map for success in the game industry.
Will there be game tournaments?
Yes! At the end of the camp there are tournaments where students can win a variety of prizes and have fun with friends and staff. Tournaments are not mandatory, but highly encouraged for all students. The tournament games will be determined by the students and staff at the beginning of each camp.
Can I get a scholarship to GameCamp!?
Yes!! The specifics will be posted over the next few weeks so stay tuned.
